Zeit für Paula Modersohn-Becker

°

Paula in Schirn.

No other German woman artist of Classic Modernism has achieved
the same legendary status as Paula Modersohn-Becker in the public
awareness. Within a few years of her death, travelling exhibitions
were organized through various German museums, and the artist
continues to enjoy high esteem even today. In her unique works,
Modersohn-Becker created timeless images of universal validity.
The extensive retrospective at the SCHIRN is dedicated to
Modersohn-Becker’s entire oeuvre and shows how she
anticipated central developments of modernism.

Very pleasant exhibition areas.

Some pics reminded me of Finnish art.
You know, nature, kids, things like that.

I just always combine these two pics together.

Paula painted the young boys. Naked.

Poika ja varis. 1884 Akseli Gallen-Kallela.
Angekleidet. Not naked.

Paula Modersohn-Becker.

Cute portraits.

Die Augen. Immer ein ungleiches Paar.
Somehow the eyes ... never match.

Black and white.

Reminds me of the Finnish artist Helene Schjerfbeck.

Rotgesprenkeltes Selbstbildnis, Helene Schjerfbeck.
Check the eyes.

Ja, die Nase. Kommt immer wieder vor.

Alte Bäuerin. Mit der Nase von Paula.

Stillleben.

Finnisch für Anfänger:

ASETELMA = Stillleben / still life

Boys and girls, come to Frankfurt before 6.2.22.!
