The Intelligence of Plants

°

I am naming this posting after the current exhibition
in the Kunstverein Frankfurt.

The Frankfurter Kunstverein follows the conviction that a meaningful
cross-fertilization between science and art is central to society.

This is definitely the science part.

The upside down lawn = art, the structure of the roots are the art part.

There is a structure, indeed.
The artist did not reveal how she did that.

The green seaweed ... Algen ... bubbling around.
This is the art part, just to remind you.

Finnisch für Anfänger:

LEVÄ = Algen / seaweed

This is the thing with the VR, virtual reality.
In a forest. Art.

Like those leporellos by an Italian artist.
Wonder how long he draw zentangles before he
realized that that could be art, as well.
And now shown in an exhibition hall in Frankfurt, hello!
Ciao!

Two huge tree trunks to start with,
now "decorated", now art.

I tell you, artistic views.

Modern art.

A film about a South American drawing.
The drawing is exhibited as well.

Liked this one. Pure art, even though you might
think is is sience.

Art.

Such nice views over the new old town from the exhibition.

Such nice photo objects.

Around the corner of Kunstverein there is Römer,
the Frankfurt City Hall, where you can get married.
This newly wed couple definitely has something to do with
the carnival, the Fasching, Fastnacht as they posed
with the whole group of dressed up people.
Wonder if they are going to visit the Kunstverein
and debate about the Anthropocene:
what new scientific knowledge and understanding
of plant life have we humans gained, and what
conclusions can we draw from this knowledge?

Just wondering.
