Time for some local galleries

°

Fridays for future? Fridays for ART! Future for art!
Frankfurt Mitte? Our neighborhood, totally.
Fahrgasse & co.

Lachenmann Galerie Hinter der Schönen Aussicht.
I tell you, always ... surprising. Installationskunst.
Great space. Go and check. I tell you.

Some of my friends are squirrel lovers.

Well, an idea how to use your broken wine glasses.
With a book. Maybe several if you are brave.

These pics I really liked. Not ease to photograph.

Malgosia Jankowska.

... nicht ohne Ironie wird aus der – in der Romantik symbolträchtigen
 – blauen Blume in einigen Zeichnungen ein tödlich roter Fliegenpilz.

Well, many different types of artworks, many.

Whenever I see the roosters I think of my Chinese horoscope!

This Russian born artist Ekaterina Leo is pretty cool.
Hopefully our neighbor buys this painting so that
we can visit this rooster often!

Fahrgasse YOK-YOK!
Der Kiosk der jetzt eine Filiale in der Fahrgasse.
Seems to be a melting point.

Funny, interesting art work hanging there, along Fahrgasse.

But this, really, this is ... bullshit.

2.380 EUROS for that pic above.
Honestly?!?!?

This pic is bigger and has more ... whatever ...

Did not check the price for this, not really interested.
But compared to the one above for more than 2000 €
... hellooo ...

My hubby's favourite - well at least some work done here.

And even here. not my thing but still.

Lachenmann Art is THE gallery space in Ostend.
I tell you, check it whenever in the area.
👌

Zeit für Paula Modersohn-Becker

°

Paula in Schirn.

No other German woman artist of Classic Modernism has achieved
the same legendary status as Paula Modersohn-Becker in the public
awareness. Within a few years of her death, travelling exhibitions
were organized through various German museums, and the artist
continues to enjoy high esteem even today. In her unique works,
Modersohn-Becker created timeless images of universal validity.
The extensive retrospective at the SCHIRN is dedicated to
Modersohn-Becker’s entire oeuvre and shows how she
anticipated central developments of modernism.

Very pleasant exhibition areas.

Some pics reminded me of Finnish art.
You know, nature, kids, things like that.

I just always combine these two pics together.

Paula painted the young boys. Naked.

Poika ja varis. 1884 Akseli Gallen-Kallela.
Angekleidet. Not naked.

Paula Modersohn-Becker.

Cute portraits.

Die Augen. Immer ein ungleiches Paar.
Somehow the eyes ... never match.

Black and white.

Reminds me of the Finnish artist Helene Schjerfbeck.

Rotgesprenkeltes Selbstbildnis, Helene Schjerfbeck.
Check the eyes.

Ja, die Nase. Kommt immer wieder vor.

Alte Bäuerin. Mit der Nase von Paula.

Stillleben.

Finnisch für Anfänger:

ASETELMA = Stillleben / still life

Boys and girls, come to Frankfurt before 6.2.22.!

Yes, Paris.
Looking forward to our Paris trip in November!

Sepukralkultur

°

Sepukralkultur?

The Museum for Sepulchral Culture is dedicated to the issues of
dying, death, burial, mourning and remembrance.

Jetzt läuft eine Ausstellung über ein schwieriges Thema: Selbstmord.
Aber gut gemacht.

The aims of the special exhibition are clear and urgent:
the exhibition serves to de-taboo and destigmatise suicide and
the experiences and circumstances that trigger it.

Suicide and suicidality are common, but kept silent and stigmatized
topics in society. The exhibition presents information, suggestions,
challenges and opportunities that reflect a social and personal approach
to suicide. With a view to the history of art and culture, humanities and
social sciences, and medicine, but above all to the here and now, our
goal is to promote public communication on suicide.

One of the plates showing the suicide statistics in Europe.
Finland has lost its leading position.

Prevention -. a big theme.

Also a theme in classical art, always with snakes!
Check these pics below.

The museum is pretty big, the collection large.
See what else they show.

The Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de Muertos or Día de los Muertos)
is a holiday celebrated on the 1st and 2nd of November.
It originated and is mostly observed in Mexico but also in other
places, especially by people of Mexican heritage elsewhere. (Wiki)

Pretty cute how the Mexicans celebrate that day.
