Kleine Schlangenkunde

°
This is quite a big snake, I would say.
I tell you, there is another one, as well, but it was
too fast for my foto session. Disappeared under the stones.

Look at the mighty body!

And the tiny tail!

Trepadora? yes, it can climb.
Like along trees, walls ... hello!
And it can become one meter 85 cm long. Hello again!

Remember the one one the left side?
We found it on the 1st of January in 2016.
So ... we are used to these climbers!

In internet you find a lot of information of snakes.
Never thought of this:
While not commonly thought of as food in most cultures, in others
the consumption of snakes is acceptable, or even considered a delicacy.
Snake soup of Cantonese cuisine is consumed by locals in autumn, to
warm up their body. Western cultures document the consumption of
snakes under extreme circumstances of hunger. (Wiki)

Snakes really enjoy the sun. I wonder what they did yesterday.
There was such a heavy rainstorm over Mallorca.

It rained heavily, we had little lakes everywhere.
And at six in the evening the sun came out again.

Lucky us, in Manacor they had not only heavy rains but hails, too.
