September is the traditional sailing month for my hubby.
The tour started from Palma on Saturday with this boat.
So on Friday night we had a great dinner in Vandal,
one of the best restaurants in town, situated in Santa Catalina,
close to the harbour. In the pic above my starter with fois gras. Fantastic.
And my lamb was perfect, too.
Vandal is innovative, modern, the food is tasty and the staff
is efficient and very friendly. And the prices are fine.
You definitely need to make a reservation before you go,
find all info on their fancy webpage:
PS the restaurant is next to the Swedish bakery Palma Bread,
where you can buy "Kanelbullar".
We had to laugh so hard, one guy came past selling sunglasses and
other crap, he looks at my hubby and says: you are the captain.
Well, that was so true, so we had to purchase this silly hat!
Santa Catalina is close to the big harbour.
We also like the market hall and the little bars close by.
A COSMOPOLITAN PLAYGROUND WHERE CREATIVES,
FOOD VISIONARIES AND PARTY-GOERS COME ALIVE
Santa Catalina, named after a former hospital dedicated to Santa Catalina of
Alexandria, patron saint of merchants and sailors, is the former fishing village to
the west of the Old Town of Palma, and a two-minute walk to the Paseo Marítimo.

The blogger also rates Vandal the second best restaurant in Santa Catalina.
As everywhere in Palma, you also here can find
pretty amazing grafities.
