Back to the basic island pics

°

In Mallorca nothing much happening. Covid19. Corona.

Partying on the beaches not allowed anymore.
Beaches are closed from 21 to 7 o'clock.

Daytime the beaches are just wonderful.

Canyamel yesterday morning.

Beach flowers.

Beach pine trees.

But now back to the boring garden part.

Weihnachtsstern finally rooting in my garden.

Olives, olives, olives - the wild ones, the small ones.

The quinces are ripening as well.
Meaning they they stone hard even when ripe.

Quince cheese is firm, sticky, sweet reddish hard paste made from the quince fruit,
and originating from the Iberian peninsula. It is known as marmelada across the
Portuguese-speaking world and as carne de membrillo or dulce de membrillo across
the Spanish-speaking world, where it is used in a variety of recipes, eaten in sandwiches
and with cheese, traditionally manchego cheese, or accompanying fresh curds. (Wikipedia)

Finally the white hibiscus is showing its beautiful flowers.

Hibiscus.

September: almond time, indeed.

And then you just peel them, easy after bathing them
in hot water, and put them in the oven.

This fairly new cactus keeps on blossoming.

Check this, my fb friend Jeanne T. posted this pic from California.
Wow, I wonder if my tiny cactus will ever grow this high!

A litte bit of kitsch belongs to every garden.
Like a blue cat 😏
