Ohne Handy, geht das?

°

Oh, boys and girls, I guess this happened to all of you, at least once, maybe.
Forgetting your mobile phone at home when touring around the island.
I tell you - you can survive.

Nit de l'Art is a yearly art gallery happening in Palma.
This year, due to known reasons, this people gathering cannot be organized
as it used to be ... crowds visiting galleries in the crowded streets of Palma.
The alternative? Guided tours during four days, maximum number of
participants only 8. Masks required.

So many galleries participating.
I would say: time to get the to know the art scene.
I would say, quite a good time, empty streets and empty galleries.

My Finnisch friend Aila did the booking, we got the route 1.
We had no choice to choose, well, this is a new procedure.
Next year ... either they return to the corona free evening mass happening ...
or continue with the these pleasant guided tours for small groups.
Our guide:

The (my) problem was: I did not have my mobile phone with me.
NO PICS!!!
Can you imagine?!
Well, internet helps in these troubled days.

Imagine the charcoal works in the gallery Horrach Moya.
They look like b&w photos but are handmade by Mallorcan
artist GIRBENT. He was there, too, a sympathetic person.

Imagine the kind of technical works of the German artist Arno Beck
in FRAN REUS gallery. Done by a typewriter - old fashioned!

Imagine the installation in the cellar of FRAN REUS gallery.
You have to take off you shoes and spray some disinfective to your feet
before you go down the stairs. This desi is very effective, when you go
down and up again, it releases the white paint from the stairs - not very nice.
The installation by M REME SILVESTRE - did not open to me.

The third gallery ABA Art Lab, with those awesome elegantly dressed
gallery ladies, is showing a series of golden mix-photo works, of trees.
The multidisciplinary artist, Jaime Sicilia origins from Madrid.
I did ask for the price list, it interested me.

More pics of this Waldweben here:

Must admit, after visiting only three galleries, got interested
in visiting more. Three galleries with a very pleasant tour guide.
Such a pity that Palma lies 65 km from our holiday home.
And very typical for Spain: you cannot really see from
outside what is really inside. Very often very elegant very big space.
Be brave, open the doors, check everything!
