MUF? Museumsuferfest in Frankfurt.
Since 1988 there is a big festival at the river Main in Frankfurt.
Museum Embankment Festival.
Food, drinks, arts, crafts, music, performances, dancing, partying.
Yes, and the many museums organize special programs.
This pic above I used in my instagram story.
The head actually moves in the original version.
Been there, done that so many years that a short visit was enough.
Next visit: to Mainz.
Must admit, have been there a few times, but
never was here in the heart of the old town.
How charming, indeed!
And the Dome, the huge church looming everywhere.
I tell you, the church is here, there and everywhere.
The sculpture is presenting Mr. Gutenberg, the most famous person of Mainz.
Johannes Gensfleisch zur Laden zum Gutenberg (c. 1400– 3 February 1468)
was a German inventor, printer, publisher, and goldsmith who introduced
printing to Europe with his mechanical movable-type printing press. (Wiki)
Maybe I next time do this city walk:
Mainz Cathedral or St. Martin's Cathedral
(German: Mainzer Dom, Martinsdom or, officially, Der Hohe Dom zu Mainz)
is located near the historical center and pedestrianized market square of the
city of Mainz, Germany. This 1000-year-old Roman Catholic cathedral is the
site of the episcopal see of the Bishop of Mainz. (Wiki)
Yes, many pretty buildings in the historical. city center, indeed.
Definitely have to come again. With more time.
Jutta Lutz reopened her gallery in old town of Mainz on Saturday.
