The rain in Spain is dusty

°

Finally Spain is getting some rain.

Kind of a rainy sunset behind the Tramuntana mountains,
seen from the hotel Ur Portofino in Ciudad Jardin.

The two turquoise buildings are the hotel.

Portofino UR is located between the airport and the centre of Palma,
very close to Ciudad Jardín, a beach famous for its stunning sunsets,
white sand and crystal clear waters. The hotel is also just a short drive
away from the old town of Palma and the city’s main leisure areas.

Actually it is walking distance, along the seaside. Pretty cool.
My sister with friends started her Mallorca tour here.

The rain in Spain fall mainly on the plain, yes, yes.
But the rain in Mallorca very often brings down the sand.
They call it Sahara sand.
Oder Saharastaub.
The local German newspaper informs that this year is exceptional,
more Sahara rains than before.

Basically you do not leave anything outdoors if not necessary.
Or it does not matter.

It's pretty easy to wash away.

And you do wash it away because it is not pretty.

I. guess the local plants are used to it, like the fig tree.

We do have white windows. After the rain not so white.

Black cars are not so popular in Mallorca,
they get hot in the sun and ... after a rainy day,
or just after an evening rain you simply wish you had stayed
at home where your car had been parked under the carport roof.
Well.

Wikipedia helps tp start the research.

Rain dust or snow dust, traditionally known as muddy rain, red rain, or
coloured rain, is a variety of rain (or any other form of precipitation)
which contains enough desert dust for the dust to be visible without using a microscope.

😆

Definitely no microscope needed here!

After a rainy day there came a sunny day.
