Party time, this time in Luxembourg.
Well, the weather this summer has kept us cool.
But we were lucky. The first BBQ was dry.
And what a view from the German side over to Luxembourg.
Let's give the boring sunset photo some nature power.
Next day in Trier.
THIs UNESCO World Heritage Site is a gate built
by Romans after 170 AD.
It is the most liked sight in Trier, easy to find.
The other Roman remains you have to look for.
Trier downtown has its charm with old buildings...
... also with churches and fountains.
The big birthday party was celebrated in Grevenmacher.
I have to post this pic so that I'll remember later that
we actually did take a bus from the hotel.
Did you know that public transportation in Luxembourg is
FREE FOR ALL?!
As you can see of this outfit of the b-day-boy,
guests were encouraged to wear clothes in the style
of their past time music favorites.
Love those boots!
Ja, ja, der alte Sack.
No party without ABBA Show!
Well, the party took place on an open terrace
but am not quite sure if the idea with those fire things
was such good one. Well, nothing happened.
And it was, indeed, pretty.
After such effective partying the walking tour in
the City of Luxembourg did not last long.
Even though so nice objects flying around.
Always some building sites.
Just checked the old corners, did not take free ride
but the fairly new tram but drove to next
Friends to enjoy some siesta in their house.
Our timing was perfect.
And we had more time to get to know LUMI.
In the evening we had some food which we
used to enjoy with many friends more than 30 years ago.
SCAMPI!!!
And a steak with pepper sauce for me.
Kyllä tämä aina hotelliaamiaisen voittaa!
Kiitos Piirosen porukat majoituksesta ja seurasta.
Was a very nice German-Finnish-Luxembourgish tour
meeting good old friends and meeting funny new people
and crossing the river Mosel a few times.
