No en nyt ihan yllättäin ainakaan Turun kulttuuriin törmännyt,
surffasin ajoissa netissä,
innostuin asiasta, se on tiedottamisen arvoista,
ja nyt olen Suomen Turuuss!
Yllättymässä pakkasten kirpeydestä ja kulttuurin pirteydestä.

Approaching TKU.

Guess why in Finland we never have delays?
We have the appropriate equipment for winter weather.
How cool is this!

The entrance to the LOGOMO,
former engineering workshop which has been rendone
as a hub for events and activities for the Capital of Culture year.

Logomo hosts a restaurant with Artek furniture
arranged by German artist Tobias Rehberger.

FIRE! FIRE!
Tuli on irti!
Turku is famous for its fires, 30 times houses fires have destroyd parts of the town,
the worst fire was in September 1827 when most of the city burned down.
This is one exhibition theme, and it's really seeing.
Great introduction to the history of fire with fantastic comic figures.
Games, miniartures ... go and see!

Logomo exhibition not only includes fire and art works,
there is also a pretty large exhibition about football called
"Only a Game?"
Today Michel Platini, current president of UEFA opened the show,
accompanied by the spokesman of the Finnish Parliament, Mr. Niinistö,
Finnish minister for (culture and) sports Mr Wallin and
the mayor of Turku, MrRandell.
And very many people from the press!

Sweeten you culture with special cultural pastries!

Artist's view of my favourite dish ... really ... not funny at all!
Tomorrow is the official opening with more cultural happenings to follow.

And more interviews for SISU.
