Linsen mit Zwiebeln ...
okay okay okay, I tried almost everything!

Tonkabohnen = Glücksbohnen.

The Tonka Bean is the seed of Dipteryx odorata, a legume tree in the neotropics, of the Fabaceae family.

The plant has its origin in Northern South America (Guyana, Orinoco region).

Today, main producers of the seeds are Venezuela and also Nigeria.

The seed is black and wrinkled in appearance, with a smooth brown interior. Its fragrance is reminiscent ofvanilla, almonds, cinnamon, and cloves. It had been used as a vanilla substitute, as a perfume, and in tobaccobefore being banned in some countries.

It is used in some French cuisine (particularly, in desserts and stews) and in perfumes.

Its use in food is banned in the United States by the Food and Drug Administration. The seed contains the anticoagulant coumarin, which can be lethal in large doses. Many anticoagulant prescription drugs, such aswarfarin, are based on coumarin. (Wikipedia)

I kind of liked this guy Müller,
who is a modestly pushing marketing personality
and seems to love his cool way of cooking.

Did we learn anything in this really big group of people (30)?
Reduzieren, reduzieren, reduzieren. Use ice water.
Do not waste filet for tatar.
Parsley gives the greenest colour to everything.
Add bananas, apples and ananas to your curry soup, tastes perfect.
Start your lentil soaking 1,5 days before cooking.
Hopefully some other stuff, too.

And there is now a long shopping list for new kitchen gadgets.
And Dieter Müller's cook books, we have not got any yet.

What I did not like? The decoration of tatar plates with cucumbers and tomatos.
His attitude against British kitchen.

Brunch/early dinner on the 1.1.2010

Chicken ...

... BBQ ... yes, in January, how cool is that?
No, it's not cool anymore, now it's called MINT.

This is the MINT generation.
Lanttuva lapsille. Ja mulle kanssa, tosi makoisia kuutioita.

We still have the same old plates, but who cares?
It's the old and new company that counts.
And the excellent cooks we had in the kitchen.

Thanks folks, the new year had a good, funny start!

A little nap in between ... party animals from Munich!

Tuija's new cd ... check

got a new name: Kettuli.

KETTU = Fuchs / fox

Three handed ... how fun was that! At least for me, ha haa!

And the party gets coo ... minter ...(?)!

Our "boys" showed their hidden talents!

Shake it baby shake it!
And suffer next morning ... knees ... knees ... knees ...

Viimeinen valssi.
Have a great one. Have a peaceful one. Have a good new year 2010.

PS. Thanks Walde for your fotos.
