Canary orchids!

°

This yellow building we can see from our balcony.
Today we found out that it is the manor of the orchid garden.
How wonderful, so close, let's visit.

Orchid Garden Sitio Litre

The oldest garden in Tenerife, over 220 years, it has a private mansion
that dates from 1730. The owners have decided to open this magnificent
garden to the public. They have the largest collection of orchids on the
island, the largest and oldest dragon tree in Puerto de la Cruz and souvenirs
from important visitors like the famous German botanist and explorer
Alexander von Humboldt and Agatha Christie.

Yes, we could have bought some fish food.

What would this guy eat?
Not sure if it was a live one or not.

This installation did not really open to us.

Let me bore you with some orchids.

Here the 600 years old Dragon Tree.
Probably there is in every Canary Island village the oldest
tree of the islands. Or?

No orchids but other colorful flowers.

Same same but different.

Red as red can be.

This garden really competes with the bigger botanical one.

Christmas is coming - well, here on the island these flowers
are growing pretty wild all year through.

Last last flag on the row is the biggest: Finland!

Finnisch für Anfänger:

TERVETULOA = Willkommen / welcome

Finnish is quite a common language here.

"Good food and Finnish coffee"
The Finns really love their own coffee.

Club Finlandia!
Not far away from the Finnish Church club house,
the one facing the sex club.
