Amazing how many different bugs there are in the world. And in our garden,
Orange brown, enjoying our roses.
Hiding green in the orange tree.
And this fella, loving our roses, as well.
Just as I was taking the pics he had to ... shit!
Quite a bomb coming out of the insect - top photo.
Finnisch für Anfänger:
HEINÄSIRKKA = Heuschrecke / grasshopper
The tiniest Gekko I've seen!
Check the size.
The funny thing is, they alway freeze when a human gets close.
Beach walk catch.
Catch of the week as well: Nørdic.
Seen in the local supermarket, had to buy it. What is it?
Apparently big in the Spanisch market for mixed drinks.
Wikipedia explains:
Nordic Mist (stylised as Nørdic Mist) is a line of soft drink mixers produced by
The Coca-Cola Company and sold in Chile, Finland, Guinea-Bissau, Luxembourg,
Belgium, Portugal, and Spain.
Finland, really? Cannot find anything connecting Nordic Mist with Finland.
Conclusion: double check your sources!
The way Nørdic is written on the logo, with an O with a slash (Ø),
pronounces exactly like Nerdic in Norwegian and Danish.
This might be the reason why it never was launched in Scandinavian countries.
I tell you, here is something that origins from Finland:
KYRÖ Distillery.
After successfully selling their famous gin worldwide
the guys are now producing DESINFEKTIONSMITTEL.
Yes, the label is in German. It was sent to me from Berlin.
Disinfectant.
Pakko leikkiä.
Now my bottle collection is only missing the new version,
for some reason the nema of the gin was changed from
Napue to Kyrö Gin.
Certainly I can buy it on line in Spain, but ... it is much nicer
to have it brought by friends who visit us from Finland.
After corona, naturally.

Hei,
upeita hepokatteja!
En ihan ymmärrä, miks Napuen nimi vaihdettiin. Napue on Isokyröläinen kylä. Tarina kertoo, että nimi vaihdettiin, koska englanninkieliset eivät osanneet lausua sitä tai ymmärtäneet mitä pyydetään. Tiedä sitten, mikä on oikea syy. Ei se Kyrön lausuminenkaan ole helpoimmasta päästä.
