This time of the year is so perfect for outdoor activities.
Just dive into the fresh green!
E-biking yesterday in and around Wiesbaden.
On the mountain Nero you can admire this beautiful
Russian-Orthodox Church of Saint Elisabeth, also called
the Greek Chapel.
The Russian Orthodox Church in Wiesbaden was built from 1847 to 1855
by Duke Adolf of Nassau on the occasion of the death of his wife,
the 19-year-old Grand Duchess Elizabeth Mikhailovna of Russia, niece of
Emperor Nicholas I. Adolf and Elizabeth married in 1844, but the following
year, she died in childbirth, as did their newborn daughter. He grieved so
profoundly that he decided to build a church around her grave. He obtained the
money for this church, with the blessing of Tsar Alexander lll, from her dowry.

Schloss Biebrich
At the river Rhein there stands this huge Schloss.
Biebrich Palace (German: Schloss Biebrich) is a Baroque residence (Schloss)
in the borough of Biebrich in the city of Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany.
Built in 1702 by Prince Georg August Samuel of Nassau-Idstein, it served as
the ducal residence for the independent Duchy of Nassau from 1816 until 1866.

The ride from Neroberg through downtown until
the river Rhein was versatile. Along the wide boulevards
the magnificent, old villas and getting closer to the riverside
the Biebrich suburb with definitely lower income.
These were the temperatures today.
The coming week brings rain again.
Every now and then I do check the statistics,
where my blog is read.
Well, in Italy and in Russia, I guess, some "monitoring" is done,
cannot imagine that my stories are of any real interest.
But dear friends in Germany, USA, Sweden, Finland, Spain,
and also in the UK and inn Switzerland, thank you for following!
