Live and let die

°
Dear fans.
It's corona season.
Lockdown in Spain.
Real and reality bloggers comment on the situation.
My blog is about photos, somehow connected
to my personal life, often to cultural happenings,
sometimes to some social subjects.
So it's corona season.
Keep on following, keep on checking what's going on
in our ... garden ...
Isn't garden the most fascinating spot to take magic photos?
Yes.

Especially if you can use an app.

And now the "live and let die" story.
Here it stood, the fig tree.
The tree that gave us sooooo many fantastic fruit last year.
This year ... it is dead. Dry. Taken over by some bad beetles.

The dry twists broke easily and out came those beetles.

First rescue trial: cutting, cutting, cutting.

And checking: those beasts everywhere.

Time for some app art.

Close up of the trunk.

And all that powder  ... why did I not see that earlier?
Because ... there are so many other young plants that
took all my attention, I guess.

Sinoxylon sexdentatum
could be the beast beetle, found out in a Facebook group.

After cutting and cutting ... our friend Val came and
shook the trunk, shook another time and off it went.
Dead. Dead as a tree can be.
Bye bye figtree.

Well, at least this year the nispero tree was doing a good job,
am running out of marmalade glasses.
Hopefully the nispero tree will survive many more years.

Butterflies love the nispero tree as well.

App art.

Colourful couliflower season!!!

And the app art.

Finally warm enough to dine outdoors.
Just iPhone art.

Finally warm enough to collect some seeds. Poppies.
