Nature.

The cat that adopted us also brings us little presents.

Like this dry gekko. Pretty cool.

Der Mauergecko (span. salamanquesa común, 

lat. tarentola mauritanica) ist inselweit heimisch. 

Die Echsenart hat sich ursprünglich im Mittelmeerraum verbreitet 

und sich auch nicht wieder vertreiben lassen.

Wie Eidechsen beherrschen Geckos die Autotomie, also die Fähigkeit, 

bei Gefahr den Schwanz abzuwerfen. Dieser zappelt dann ein paar 

Sekunden weiter und soll den Angreifer ablenken, während der Gecko 

sich aus dem Staub macht.

Summertime, holiday time, organizing time!

Hallo, nein, nein, nicht Oderazzi!

Sondern N'ordentlich. Die Firma von Tuula-Maija.

Warum nicht?

Manchmal sehen fremde Augen mehr als die eigenen.

Warum liegen die leeren Kisten, ungelesene Bücher, Stoffreste 

und besonders die alten Klamotten die nicht mehr passen, einfach so rum?

Weil unsere innere Schweinehund ausruht. Nix erledigt.

Und wir ärgern uns, wir stolpern auf die Kisten, wir suchen

immer und überall irgendwelche Sachen in dem Chaos.

Ein Anruf, eine Mail, und hier kommt die Hilfe.

Und alles diskret und freundlich.

Wieso weiss ich das? Weil die Tuula-Maija gestern

mein Studiogast war!

Studiossa meillä oli noin puolisen tuntia aikaa syventyä 

ammattijärjestäjän toimenkuvaan.

Vaitiolovelvollisuuden vuoksi mitään hassuja asiakastapaamisia

ei voitu päästää eetteriin, mutta sen verran Tutu kertoi,

että hänen pokkansa pitää tosi hyvin astuipa millaiseen

kaaokseen tahansa. Ja tehdään vielä tässäkin selväksi, 

ettei hän ota poisheitettäviä tavaroita mukaansa, mutta 

auttaa toki kaman kierrätyksen järjestämisessä.

Birch trees are THE decoration element in Finland.

Every house has two birch trees at the entrance door

over the midsummer time.

So lucky us, the Finnish artist Pentti Lepistö managed to

deliver some birch trees for the Finnish party in Dornbusch.

This song is sung in Finland in the schools at the end of May

when the long summer holidays start.

It is THE song for start of the summer.

The stage was needed as we had the band UUSIKUU performing.

Here Laura, the lead singer sneaking into the backstage area.

UUSIKUU on stage and people started dancing!

Jenkka is one of the popular dances in Finland,

and letkajenkka is a special form of it when everybody

dance together behind each other.

We have had great sunny, hot days in Frankfurt.

But on Friday the rain took over for 5 hours.

 

Was a bit unlucky for the gallery tour in the Fahrgasse Street.

Last time it was a perfect, funny, dry (weatherize) night.

Now just a disaster.

Some galleries showed the stuff from the last opening.

This was nes. Funny. I think so.

International students from Darmstadt University were

presenting very interactive, covid time stuff.

You could sniff these used clothes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

95 years.

My hubby's father, my father in law. 

Hm, I think he is the oldest person that I have met.

Und die Rede, die er gehalten hat, war grade gut,

die Damen könnten die Tränen grade zurückdrücken.

Das sein Glas nicht verloren geht.

So sorry, but I have no need to buy flowers.

These roses were cuttings from Petterweil, thanks Mrs. Maria.

 These lavenders are from my own garden, bitte Mrs. Donna.

This year the rhodo in pot came out pretty well.

As yo remember, this blog serves me as a diary as well.

The blue rhodo in front of the kitchen window is also amazing.

Thanks to our neighbour Tom, who every now and then let's

the water run on the other side of the fence.
