Gardening in winter

Bring boring, but true,
minus temperatures have finally left Frankfurt.
Time fo start gardening!

Finnisch für Anfänger:

LUMIKELLO =  Schneeglöckchen / snowdrop
LUMI = Schnee / snow
KELLO = Glocke / clock

Lucky enough this is the only trace of snow we have in Frankfurt.

Galanthus (snowdrop; Greek gála "milk", ánthos"flower")
is a small genus of about 20 species of bulbous perennial
herbaceous plants in the family Amaryllidaceae.
The plants have two linear leaves and a single small white
drooping bell shaped flower with six petal-like (petaloid) tepals
in two circles (whorls). The smaller inner petals have green markings.

So to say the first flower blossoming this year.

More to follow soon.

Guess what ...? Well, last year's strawberry leaves.

Am a bit worried about my oleander.
Not sure if it survived the real cold winter weeks.

Very soon also the rosemary blooms!

Katzenminze is also one of the first plants
to wake up after the winter.

In the herbal garden also other plants coming out.

And the classic winter/spring flowers indoors: tulips.
