As of this year SISU has been taken into the name day calendar in Finland.
We celebrated the very first name day of SISU today, 28.2.
Sisu is a Finnish word generally meaning stoic determination,
bravery, resilience, perseverance and hardiness,
expressing the historic self-identified Finnish national character.
Four SISU-radio journalists gathered together
with approximately 40 guests in Sachsenhausen.

Today it was a historical day:
I baked a cake.
Well, a very basic cake.
The fun part was to decorate it.
Therefore, 28.2. now can be named
kakkukulttuurin päivä in my house!
